Hurried to Healed:  A Journey Back to the Body

We live in a world obsessed with the “hurry culture.” Everything is engineered for instant gratification, comfort, and speed, but I’ve learned the hard way that this lifestyle comes with a long-term cost.

For nearly a decade, I was the poster child for this culture. I was caught in a toxic cycle of yoyo dieting, over-training, under nourishing and constant stress. My body wasn’t thriving; it was simply trying to survive.

By 2019, I had reached a breaking point.

Despite following the “prescribed” advice—doing all the cardio and eating according to a dietician’s plan—I was struggling with chronic inflammation, headaches, and a total lack of vitality. When the medical answer I received was to simply “numb” the situation rather than find the root cause, I knew something had to change.

I realized then that industry does not always have our best interests at heart. We need be the ones to take our power back. The shift didn’t happen overnight, but the world coming to a standstill in 2020 forced a necessary pause. Returning to basics—tending a vegetable garden, making food from scratch, and even starting a sourdough culture (affectionately named Fergus)—reminded me that our bodies were designed to self-heal when given the right nutrients and circumstances.

I stopped looking for the “magic pill” and started looking for tools that complemented how the body was designed to function.

This was the start of creating the foundation of my business today. I don’t believe in rigid, restrictive routines; I believe in a framework of flexibility. Getting back to basics and learning how our bodies were meant to flourish, the way God created it to. True wellness isn’t about doing everything at once. It’s about small, consistent “good stresses” that help you level up.

My personal toolkit—and the heartbeat of my business—is built on simple, actionable steps and natural products that support:

• Mineralisation: Returning to authentic sources like Celtic Salt to support cellular hydration.
• Circadian Rhythms: Honouring the body’s natural internal clock through morning light and delayed caffeine, time-restricted feeding windows (fasting) that work with your body clock.
• Nourishment: Choosing whole-form, unprocessed ingredients and functional supports like mushrooms that work with the body, not against it.

I am just a person, still learning and navigating this journey just like you. But if there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s that systems stay when motivation fades. We are each the stewards of our own “temples,” and we have a responsibility to learn, heal, and discern. It’s about building resilience within our bodies, and supporting it with the right natural supplements, foods and movement. Listening to your body and learning what works for it and what doesn’t.

I invite you to stop the hurry, even if just for a moment. Take a breath, get in nature, and hold fast to what is good. Your body is capable of amazing things when you finally decide to listen to it and give it what it needs.
